Artister och vänner hyllar slagverkaren George Allyn i en konsert med Amadou Jarr & the Highlife Orchestra, Rudy Smith, Babatunde Tony Ellis, Fransk basist Koffi Aivo, Taxi Stand Steel Band, Hotpans steelband m.fl

Chockness as he was called back home in Trinidad was one of the two youngest player in the steel orchestra band Merrymakers. The band left Trinidad to tour Europe in the end of the 50ies. After being on tour for some years the band broke up. George and his buddy the other youngest player Rudy "twoleft" Smith started their own band. George on drums which he was very good at. They played all over Europe. They came to Sweden and started a much bigger orchestra The Modern Sound with some of the best musicians in Stockholm. Names as Tony Ellis, Kofi Bensi-Enchell, Bill Prince,Ron Simmonds, Don Pancho and others.

He also got married and had a wonderful family that adored him. George Allyn Chockness was a musically talented composer and vocalist. His dream came through when he composed and sang a calypso at home in Trinidad over the carnival season of 2008. He did that magnificiently.
