Där musik och literatur möter havet.
Sofie Livebrant has put passages from Jeanette Winterson’s novel Lighthousekeeping to music. The novel tells the story of the orphaned girl Silver who grows up at the lighthouse in Cape Wrath with the blind lighthousekeeper Mr Pew. He tells her stories; about Tristan and Isolde, Captain Scott…Tonight is the kickoff for a year with a Lighthouse tour in Scotland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, tracing the paths of the old sailors.
A project that lasts from Jan 20th 2015 - December 2015 and is supported by “Musikverket” Swedish Performing Arts Agency.
Sofie Livebrant is going to tell some about how her idea came up. Reading from the novel “Lighthousekeeping” by Jeanette Winterson.
